All signs point to another low turnout vote were anything is possible. 

Still . . .

History tells us that KCMO voters can't stand the school district begging for more cash but still providing a HORRIBLE product.

As always, we're obliged to also present a more optimistic view . . . 

The decline began after the last school bond passed in 1967, and that’s added up to causing $1.2 billion in deferred maintenance, according to KCPS Public Relations Coordinator Shain Bergan.

The schools aren’t asking for that full amount. The bond voters are considering in two weeks is $474 million – and $50 million would go toward nine charter schools with the rest toward 33 schools in the district.

“We’re not talking about something exorbitant, this is 64 cents a day for a $200,000 home,” Bergan said. “That’s a cup of coffee a week, that’s less than $20 a week.”
