Rural Kansas Confronts Population Crisis Without Illegal Migrants?!?

A quick reality check . . .

NOBODY ELSE WANTS TO LIVE IN BARREN PARTS OF KANSAS OTHER THAN ILLEGAL FARM WORKERS!!!

That's not really a progressive talking point . . . Because their work is back breaking, it's not the American dream and they function kinda like indentured servants.

But the reality is that without any hope for an influx of any population other than the dreaded illegal migrants . . . There are many spots in Kansas that risk negative economic growth given their dearth of population.

Accordingly . . .

We wanted to share the local NPR outfit politicizing this unpopular fact of life that some of our more extreme right-wing friends can't really solve without delving deep into wacky economic theories.

Again, even a cursory glimpse at census data confirms that rural Kansas isn't exactly a hotbed of economic activity or some place that attracts younger workers given that small towns in the Sunflower State are LITERALLY willing to pay new residents to give dying towns a chance.

Heck, even Topeka is handing out cash prizes to new residents.

Check-it:

"Anxiety has spread through southwest Kansas after policy promises of mass deportations from the Trump administration. That mental exhaustion is now part of the daily lives of Kansans in an area where immigrants are a large part of the population."
