Report: Prez Trump Tariffs Spike Kansas City Beer Prices?!?

First, a truism . . .

THERE WAS NEVER AN ELECTED OFFICIAL POPLAR ENOUGH TO CHARGE AMERICANS MORE MONEY FOR BEER!!!

Sorry . . .

But Americans value cheap beer more than ANYTHING. More than national security, more than culture war, more than even social media shares & likes . . . All of which are merely an excuse to enjoy more beer.

Accordingly . . .

We'll preface this quote with the reminder that there are very few economists participating in most American political conversations and we believe the Prez needs time to allow his strategy to play out.

Sadly . . . Americans aren't known for their patience when it comes to waiting in line for pricey beer.

And so . . . We'll just share the local testimony and more info . . .

KC Bier sells about 1.3 million cans of beer a year. And while consumers may be most interested in the beverage inside, the packaging is a big part of the price.

“Probably closer to 35% of the cost of a case of beer when we sell it is the cans, so it’s a major part of the consumers cost for beer,” KC Bier Co. founder, Steve Holle, said.

Holle says if that aluminum can cost goes up 25%, by the time breweries, wholesalers and retailers all are forced to pay more, he expects the price consumers pay to go up by $1.50 or more.
