Kansas City Star Advocates For Refugees After Prez Trump Travel Freeze

Here's the challenge . . .

Reactionaries who don't want to think beyond partisan talking points will attempt to smear, defame and demonize all refugees. 

The reality is that everyone featured in this story seems like a great person who would make this country even stronger. 

The problem is that there are SO MANY other refugees, undocumented and illegals who don't fit that description in a system that has been BROKEN for more than a generation. 

So the struggle in reading stories like these is for readers to use their intellect and not rely on emotional responses whilst understanding that . . . YES, these stories are very sad and that people on the losing end of this equation are not evil . . . But the U.S. immigration system that's mostly rigged in favor of corporations needs a very real overhaul that's going to require a complex solution that doesn't fit on a baseball cap.
