Nearly a week after a historic blizzard, homeless shelters across Kansas City are still over capacity.
“We’re sleeping people on overflow,” said Eric Burger, Executive Director of Shelter KC . . .
Not far from Shelter KC, City Union Mission also sees an influx of clients due to the weather, especially at their women’s and family shelter.
“Our staff is stretched over there and they’re there ready and willing to jump in,” said CEO Terry Megli.
