Kansas City Retail Clings To Life

More astute TKC readers noticed that "Black Friday" wasn't really so crowded locally and merchants seem a bit desperate amid a very real lack of consumer confidence despite decent economic numbers that might or might not be subject to public pressure. 

Either way . . .

Right now we take a peek at hopeful economic numbers and the last hope of brick & mortar retailers: Starbucks hasn't yet figured out a way to run an intravenous IV coffee drip . . . Also, white ladies can't show off their new, big, dumb hat at home . . . Check-it:

"The National Retail Federation says 197 million people went shopping over the Thanksgiving weekend.

"126 million people shopped in person, which is up from last year. Online shopping was lower in 2024 during that same period at 124.3 million."
