"Rest assured, when the Legislature returns in January, we will immediately get to work providing further tax relief, especially much-needed broad-based property tax reform," Senate President Ty Masterson, R-Andover, and House Speaker Dan Hawkins, R-Wichita, said in a previous statement.

Democrats in the Statehouse seem to agree, and outgoing House Minority Leader Vic Miller, D-Topeka, and Senate Minority Leader Dinah Sykes, D-Lenexa, have said they want further property tax relief. But Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly cautioned that she won't support a bill until the impacts of tax cuts are better understood.
