Clay Chastain's Press Release: Like Trump, the liberal media, left wing politicians & elite have tried to turn the people against me by dismissing me, disparaging me & blocking my petitions because they fear my efforts to improve KC not only exposes their failings to do so, but also represent the drastic changes people want to Make KC Great Again, as envisioned herein:

Preface: KC's thoughtful & visionary Founding Fathers created a safe, promising "City Beautiful". KC's far left leaders have created an unsafe, unpromising 'City less-pretty'. Here's the mess we have to fix & the drastic changes we have to adopt ('Onward Kansas City') if we want growth, more revenues, a safer City & a better quality of life for (all) our people going forward:

To overcome failed leadership, you first have to illuminate it's blunders to generate solutions:

1. See the on-going, oppressive E-tax stimie KC growth & hurt working poor the most.
2. See the distant, Greenless (car & parking-oriented) new Airport (without a rapid rail connection to Downtown) embarrass our City.
3. See decades of Downtown sports & entertainment glitz (with only scant investment in disadvantaged areas) offend decency.
4. See a failed, unpopular 1960's-era (diesel) bus system wastes taxpayer's money.
5. See mismanagement of the world's greatest train station by underutilizing it as a child's museum - Not Transportation Hub - & compromising it by allowing construction of 2-Trizec blds. that have marred its historic presentation & blocked transit access.
6. See the once charming Plaza overtaken with crime & blighted by sterile, giant corporate box buildings that (menacingly) hover over it.
7. See the only large Downtown Park we have void of people due to its abuse as a pkg. lot, traffic artery & place for illicit activity.
8. See the City stagnate as the Central City slowly empties out of families with children.
9. See crime soar & the City competes with St. Louis as the homicide capital of the Midwest.
10. See the left wing government use censorship by blocking petitions (mine), use government warfare against a political opponent (me) & the Woke media silence conservative opponents (including me).

The Drastic Changes proposed by the Initiative, 'Onward Kansas City', ....Shall the people....

1. Eliminate the e-tax.
2. Connect Downtown to KCI with rapid, high-capacity & cost-effective Monorail.
3. Raise up the inner City with new investments in infrastructure (Alternative Transportation System), affordable housing (generated along Greenways) & educational opportunities (Trade Learning Centers).
4. Construct an Alternative Transportation System (anchored by Monorail) & new Bruce Watkins Greenway (with no thru-traffic) & anchored by Ultra Light Rail & dedicated lanes for bikes, e- bikes, e-scooters & pedestrian use.
5. Tear down Pershing 1 & II blds. &  repurpose Union Station into a Regional Multimodal Transportation Center.
6. Halt corporate sterilization & over building on the Plaza.
7. Transform 200-acre Penn Valley Park into a safe, car-free Downtown Natural Park.
8. Unleash Kansas City to grow in population, revenues & increased prosperity (for all).
9. Lower crime as the urban potential of the inner City is realized & educational & job opportunity for its youth created.
10. Kick the old, failed & oppressive liberal guard down the steps of City Hall & out the door?
