Oracle Health, formerly Cerner Corp. locally, has continued to winnow its local headcount, though the extent of the attrition is unknown. Oracle (NYSE: ORCL) reported to the Kansas City Area Development Council last year that Cerner had 11,900 local employees in 2022. But internal documents indicate that area employment has plummeted to 6,400 since it was acquired by Oracle. In February, Oracle said it would lay off 124 employees in Springfield.
