The event might not have garnered big numbers but proved to successful that Mayor Q offered his social media approval . . .
Mayor Quinton Lucas was at the event. In a post on X, he wrote: “In Missouri, cities are barred from participating in gun return programs. So in Kansas City, our churches and non-profits need to step up. Proud of their efforts, getting firearms, including automatic weapons, off of our streets from those [voluntarily] letting them go.”
