Dead-Tree Newspaper Moves Out Of STL

But talk of dead-tree renaissance escapes local population centers as BEST & BRIGHTEST TKC READERS notice this downturn on the wrong side of Missouri . . . 

"The move, to take effect in early January, means the presses at our Maryland Heights building will be shuttered. In all, 72 employees — 48 full-timers and 24-part-timers — will no longer be employed at the newspaper. Printing will shift to the Columbia facility, owned by another newspaper company, Gannett, with the papers trucked to St. Louis for local delivery."

Post-Dispatch to outsource printing operations to Columbia, Missouri

The Post-Dispatch will still publish a print edition seven days a week, with no change in delivery times.
