AI Threatens Kansas City White-Collar Jobs

Not so long ago . . . We noticed that locals were eager to replace fast food workers with machines without much thought to the human impact of labor cuts. 

Now . . . 

Kansas City "professionals" confront increasing threats from AI tech as companies seem more enthusiastic about automation over human connections. 

And sooner or later . . . TKC will have to confront a fight to the death with a Fart-Bot 2000 Dumb Joke Generator. We only hope it'll be a losing battle recorded in American folklore like the myth of John Henry.

Now, here's the data we have liberated from behind a machine-guarded paywall . . .

"One analysis from (un)common logic, a digital marketing data company, says that 10.2% of workers, or 491,448 people in the Kansas City area, are at risk of AI-related job displacement. The analysis places Kansas City at No. 7 among 55 large metro areas, just behind Austin, Buffalo and Jacksonville.

"Some of the local jobs most likely to have high exposure to AI include architectural and civil drafters, accounting and auditing clerks, and paralegals, according to a report from Pew Research."
