Prog Blog Outlines Victory For 'Bad-A$$' Kansas Rep. Sharice Davids

For those who don't know . . . Daily Kos actually started the "prog blog" trend more than 20 years ago and it's one of the most radically liberal websites out there . . . It's also extremely popular. Consider it the polar opposite of places like Daily Caller or Daily Wire.

However . . .

In a recent post regarding Rep. Sharice David, the prog bloggers actually share insights that are worth consideration for anyone interested in local politics.

No, we don't endorse their perspective but that doesn't mean we aren't captivated by what they're saying.

In fact . . . We really enjoyed this post and think our readers will as well.

Daily Kos proclaims . . . Rep. Davids needs to hop onto the Harris/Walz bandwagon in order to secure victory. We're not sure if they're correct. However . . . We'll let readers decide by starting out with bloggy supposition and a bit of backstory.

Check-it . . .

"The question for Davids is whether she can continue to portray herself as a moderate badass while supporting the MVP Harris agenda . . .

"This district is the main setting for the classic political book What’s the Matter With Kansas?, which featured the stark divide between moderate and conservative Republicans found in this district in particular. For the longest time, the moderate Republicans were in charge here . . . It took Trump to shake the last of the moderate Republicans from the party and into the willing arms of the Democratic Party in this district. Rep. Yoder, the conservative that replaced Moore, could not survive the suburban revolt against Trump and lost to Sharice Davids during the 2018 blue wave election.

"In response, the GOP nuked her district by taking away the Democratic anchor of Kansas City, KS and plopping it into another district. They also added three ruby red rural counties for good measure. Even with this new gerrymandered map, Biden won the district 51.2% to 46.7%. Rep. Sharice Davids was thought vulnerable in 2022 against repeat candidate Amanda Adkins, but she wound up winning 54.9% to 42.8%. 301k voted to retain Davids in 2022, while 410k voted during the 2020 Presidential race."
