Here's our real public service . . .
All of those middle-class dudes telling you that your kids don't need college . . . It's a trick because they simply want less competition for their ugly kids when it comes to cushy jobs that only require clever e-mails and a few cheap suits.
And all of that brings us to this sordid tale of YET ANOTHER KCFD LAWSUIT from disgruntled workers who feign surprise over KCFD unfairness.
This story was mostly overlooked this week because it doesn't really matter but for this morning it might make a difference to so many of our first responder friends who didn't realize that politics pretty much determines their career fate . . .Check-it:
"Though he had risen through the ranks for 27 years, Grundyson lacked the minimum qualifications for the full-time chief job — he had no college degree — and a city news release said he would “not be in the running for the permanent Chief position.”
"But now nearly two years later, Grundyson, 56, is still leading the department, and the city has set no deadline for replacing him with any of the multiple applicants for the permanent role who did have the required credentials yet were never interviewed for the job.
"That time lag — and the fact that city officials have, without explanation, dropped the “interim” in Grundyson’s title when referring to him in official communications — has job applicants wondering why. Several of them have hired attorneys who are taking the procedural steps necessary to file discrimination lawsuits . . ."
