We notice that rising local crime during August and into the Autumn months is taking a backseat to culture war issues and the ongoing slap fight on the road to the November vote.
High profile and heartbreaking killings serve to remind us that worsening local violence can hit home quickly . . . But for the most part, it's hard to argue that serious conversations about public safety have taken place in this cowtown.
And so we ask . . .
IS KANSAS CITY CRIME SOLVED IN BETWEEN PUBLIC OUTCRY OVER TRAGIC MURDERS OF LOCAL CELEBS?!?
Again . . . Victims of worsening property crime would likely dispute the framing of that question.
Either way . . . It's something to consider as we check the latest crime reporting that has garnered our attention . . .
