Kansas City Chiefs Kicker Harrison Butker Inspires Futile Hateration

First let's define terms . . . Because a couple of readers have asked over the years.

Hateration: (African-American Vernacular, slang) Hatred, hostility, animus.

Etymology: First used in the 2001 single "Family Affair" by Mary J. Blige: "Don't need no hateration, holleration / In this dancerie."

Honestly, TKC might retire this term because I didn't know it was more than 20-years-old, I just use it because I remember my cousin teasing his wife with over the dance track and it struck me as funny.

Then again . . . I'm also sticking with the term "Internets" that's also dated but only because the word remains politically relevant and just turned 20 this election season

But I digress . . .

Special thanks to a KICK-ASS TKC READER for not letting this report slip past us.

This passage sums up the crux of the argument and we enjoy when political pundits realize their lowly place in this world.

Check-it . . .

"So, this season, there are more people waiting on a huge Butker failure than have ever waited on a kicker’s downfall. Right now, Butker is quite likely the most famous that any kicker has ever been, owing to his time in the conservative media spotlight, the Chiefs’ success, and his reasonable proximity to Swift, whom he has probably met two or three times. “Taylor Swift Goes Nuts After Harrison Butker Nails Game-Winning Field Goal in Chiefs-Bengals Game,” one Sunday headline reads at Us. The headline construction reflects the belief of the publication’s editors that both “Taylor Swift” and “Harrison Butker” are useful names to place in a headline about an NFL game’s conclusion.

"I bear unfortunate news for fans of other NFL teams, Swifties who resent their hero’s boyfriend’s teammate, and all social liberals with a passing interest in the NFL: Harrison Butker is never going to f*ck this up. You will never get a moment to celebrate karmic retribution against him on the field."
