Kansas City police Maj. Greg Williams promised to fix the system in 18 months and told Lucas that the primary issue with KCPD’s Communications Division is that there simply aren’t enough people to take 911 calls.
“Now it's a time issue. If you could find me 30 people tomorrow, that would be great,” Williams said.
