Another Kansas City Sideshow Crackdown Ordinance Coming Soon

Politicos attempt to address the problem via legislation . . . Here's the latest phase of the plan that offers stricter penalties and fines . . . Which haven't worked so far . . . Check-it:

An existing ordinance already makes it a crime to participate in street racing or burnouts. The latter is defined as “keeping a vehicle stationary and spinning its wheels and causing the vehicle’s tires to heat up and smoke.”

The new ordinance makes several changes. It adds the term sideshow, defined as “an unsanctioned demonstration of automotive stunts which obstructs the orderly flow of traffic.” It also toughens penalties and extends some penalties beyond those in the cars.
