The Jackson County prosecutor on Wednesday charged SUSPECT with one count of first-degree assault for his role in the fight and stabbing that occurred Aug. 5 on a RideKC bus in the Midtown area of Kansas City.
Earlier this week, prosecutors charged 31-year-old FEMALE SUSPECT with one count each of first-degree assault and armed criminal action.
According to court documents, the stabbing took place about 1:30 p.m. aboard the bus near 31st Street and Troost Avenue.
The victim, whose name was redacted from the charging documents, told police that he was riding the bus when the FEMALE SUSPECT boarded the bus. She was talking to herself and became loud and was cussing. SUSPECT got into an argument with another female rider.
According to court documents, the victim intervened so that KNIFE-WIELDING SUSPECT wouldn’t harm the other rider.

A 31-year-old Kansas City man is the second person to be charged in a fight where the victim was stabbed aboard a RIdeKC bus.
