An odd couple and more were released by Super Bowl champs today.
These departures are often sad but, unfortunately, they're the best sign that the team is quickly moving forward and hoping to stay competitive for the upcoming season.
Here are the basics . . .
"The back-to-back defending Super Bowl champions released wide receiver Kadarius Toney, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport . . . The Chiefs also released running back Louis Rees-Zammit, Schultz reported. Rees-Zammit, a rugby star from Gloucester, signed with the Chiefs in March through the NFL’s International Player Pathway program."
