Why Won't Kansas City Climate Activists Debate Councilman Willet?!?

Social media braggadocio is an easy ploy but face-to-face encounters are tougher in the world of politics and personal relations.

Two obvious examples: Our Prez on the debate stage . . . And both men and women who post impressive pix but often disappoint in real life.

Accordingly . . .

Recently we noted this bit of "activism" and low-key allegations of corruption from environmental activists targeting Northland council members . . . Here's the word for those who might not remember:

"Wes Rogers and Nathan Willet — despite being in a clear minority on our City Council — think they can unilaterally impose a right-wing agenda that deregulates basic environmental protections and sells us to the highest bidder."

Again . . .

Making those accusations is easy when followers don't ask for any evidence.

The response from the councilman was simple and straightforward . . .

"I challenge your team to a debate . . ."

This is the kind of "community engagement" we like to see from local politicos.

It looks like Councilman Willet is ready to engage in an honest discussion with his critics and talk about the impact of strict environmental regulations on local housing.

Sadly . . .

The climate activists have yet to respond.
