KCFD Saves Worker From Sinkhole

Local first responders help this local dude in dire circumstances . .  .

EMS responded to the 9200 block of Old Santa Fe Road just before 8 a.m. and found the victim in a 15-foot manhole.

The 30-year-old male construction worker was found unconscious and face down in about 6-8 inches of water. The victim was quickly evaluated and found to have no pulse, the Kansas City Fire Department said.

The fire department said a rope was secured around the individual, he was removed from the sewer and CPR was initiated. He was then taken to a nearby hospital.

According to KCFD, he is alive and breathing on his own but in critical condition.
