Kansas City Toy Train Streetcar Works Toward World Cup Debut

This year the streetcar has been a bit more reliable because there have been less traffic downtown. 

However . . .

Let's not forget that the TOY TRAIN BROKE DOWN FOR TWO WEEKS DURING THE BUSIEST PART OF LAST SUMMER. 

And so . . .

Another big test is on the way . . .

"Buses will be at the heart of Kansas Citys World Cup transportation plan, but the streetcar, which should run from the University of Missouri-Kansas Citys campus north to the River Market by the time the World Cup arrives, also will play a central role in moving people around."

Construction on the extension to connect the River Market to the Berkley Riverfront & the KC Current stadium is set to be done in early 2026.
