We love our East side neighbors for many reasons but today we celebrate their resistance to "road diet" schemes that attempt bike lane fixes and fancy islands that make driving a hassle.
These schemes NEVER get any support from the East side despite so much advocacy and propaganda.
Accordingly . . . Here's the latest effort to force more buy-in in the name of public safety . . .
"Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard is one of Kansas City's top 10 most dangerous streets. A project to change the road aims to reduce crashes, make pedestrians safer, and connect two of the city's longest bike trails. It's just now getting started after more than a year of delays.+
