Overland Park Confronts Brutal Robbery & Drive-By Gunfire

Here's the aftermath of a dangerous beat down in the Golden Ghetto and another report of an unrelated but still important shooting that police are investigating.

The deets . . .

Police said two men came into the business about 10:15 p.m. wearing ski masks and brandishing guns.

The suspects took money and items from the store, police said. They also reportedly hit the clerk while robbing the store.

Both men wore ski masks, black hoodies, black pants and white shoes, according to police. 

About the unrelated shooting . . . 

According to police, several young men were playing basketball in a cul-de-sac when a black vehicle drove up. The driver asked if a specific person was in the area.

When the men responded they didn’t know the person, the driver shot several rounds into a nearby home.

There were no injuries, police said.

Store employee injured in Monday night robbery at Overland Park business

A store employee suffered minor injuries when struck by two men robbing a business Monday night in Overland Park.


No injuries reported in Overland Park drive-by shots fired incident
