- Nowadays, it's rare that a real life lady who isn't a dude who looks like power lifter can earn accolades for a pageant prize.
- Full disclosure . . . Long, long ago TKC once won 2nd prize in a beauty contest and collected 10 dollars.

Miss Kansas City Ashley Berry outlasted 15 contestants Saturday night to become the new Miss Missouri.
The 20-year-old Berry is from Clinton, Missouri and will represent the Show-Me State in the upcoming Miss America Pageant.
