Latest Kansas City 2024 Mass Shooting Kills Two Overnight

Yesterday Mayor Q touted progress regarding a reduction in homicide that hopefully holds despite violent crime trending upward at the outset of Summer.

Accordingly our www.TonysKansasCity.com blog community notes . . .

Overnight the local homicide count added two more victims after gunfire echoed through local streets.

Here is the first report . . .

Homicide 3200 blk of Bellefontaine

This morning at 1:03 AM officers were dispatched to the 3200 blk of Agnes on a reported shooting. Upon arrival they were directed to a residence in the 3200 blk of Bellefontaine where a shooting was alleged to have taken place.

As officers arrived to the residence on Bellefontaine they located a juvenile male victim and an adult male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.  EMS responded and declared the victims deceased.

Officers also located an adult female victim and an additional juvenile male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. They were both transported to local hospitals with non life threatening injuries.

This is being investigated as a homicide. Detectives are working diligently to determine what led up to the shooting.  They are also working to identify the involved individuals relationship to one another and the residence.
