Kansas City Metro Reaches Whataburger Critical Mass

The Texas burger chain is now embedded in the hearts, arteries and colon of this cowtown.

KMO Burgers opened the latest Whataburger location in Kansas City on Monday. The restaurant is just south of Interstate 70 and U.S. Route 40, and less than three miles from GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. The proximity to the stadiums allows anyone on Kansas City’s eastside to get a Whataburger fix.

If KMO Burger sounds familiar, it is an investment group that includes Mahomes as a partner. KMO Burger operates 11 of the 14 Whataburger locations in the Kansas City area, and opened all 11 locations in the past two years.
