- However, last year KCMO broke another ALL-TIME record for killing.
- Moreover, the past 5 years have been the most violent in our history.
Accordingly, here's the latest deadly report from police . . .
Homicide 7000 block of Prospect LATE DEATH
On 06/02/24 around 8AM, officers were dispatched to the 7000 block of Prospect Ave. on a reported Cutting.
Officers arrived on scene and located an adult male suffering from apparent stab wounds. EMS responded and transported the victim to the hospital for treatment.
Responding officers were able to identify, locate, and apprehend an adult male subject on scene where he was placed on a 24 hour investigative hold for further investigation. Detectives presented their findings to the Jackson County Prosecutors office where he was subsequently charged in custody. For further information regarding this incident I would refer you to their office.
On 06/07/24, detectives were notified the victim had succumbed to their injuries and was declared deceased.
Homicide Detectives have assumed responsibility of the investigation.
