This deadly drug crisis impacts locals FROM EVERY DEMOGRAPHIC and has devastated both the wealthy and the poor. 

We can blame the border crisis, moral decay or the fall of Western civilization . . . What locals can't do is pretend that the epidemic doesn't exist given so many lives it has claimed.

"According to the Johnson County Prevention and Recovery Coalition, in 2022, there were 81 opioid-related deaths in the county, 73 death, or 90%, were ruled accidental by the county's Medical Examiner's Office. "
