Chiefs Now Cursed: Kansas City Should Gladly Let Them Go?!?

Before we share opinion, let's start with context and FACTS . . .

Video games are now far more popular with Americans than football, baseball or lady soccer combined.

As to local drama playing out this month that might just represent an OLD SCHOOL way of thinking about civic life . . . As promised, we share an alternative perspective informed by conversations with TOP ECHELON KANSAS CITY INSIDERS regarding the fate of pro sports.

KANSAS CITY PROPER MIGHT BE LUCKY TO GET RID OF THE CHIEFS AS THEIR CURSED DYNASTY CRUMBLES!!!

Accordingly, and in accordance with www.TonysKansasCity.com tradition . . .

 Let's name the puppy . . .

They're calling it "The Ash Wednesday Curse" as Super Bowl champs brazenly disgraced the faith traditions of so many locals with a victory parade and a deadly shootout resulted. Since that point, the team has never been the same and celebrity, politics and criminality have tainted their image.

Meanwhile, political incompetence seems to be doing taxpayers a favor as this quote from Mayor Q confirms our suspicions that the departure of the team is merely going to turn into one, giant partisan blame game during campaign season 2024 . . .

“The people of Kansas City elected me to be the Mayor of Kansas City. I speak on behalf of Kansas City. I’ll let you ask Jackson County about any number of things that they are interested in or worried about,” Mayor Lucas said when asked whether he thought the leadership of the Chiefs and the Royals trusted the leadership at City Hall and the County Courthouse after the failed election.
