Blame These Middle-Class White People For Chasing Kansas City Chiefs Out Of Town?!?

What we notice about the local discourse that's mostly unspoken . . . 

Kansas City social media denizens feel comfortable trash talking Mayor Q, Exec Frank White and so many other politicos but they don't want to assign culpability to people who look like them. 

To be fair . . . 

TKC has been angry at KC Tenants ever since they shut down my favorite Midtown Burger King.

Accordingly and for the sake of the local discourse . . .

IN THIS QUICK POST WE REMIND VOTERS THAT MIDDLE-CLASS WHITE PEOPLE PUNDITS PLAYED AN IMPORTANT PART IN CHASING SUPER BOWL CHAMPS TO KANSAS!!!

A quick consideration . . .

Patrick Tuohey - Often noted as the "smartest guy in the room" without a twinge of irony. But how smart is it to send a football dynasty out of town??? Honest question that we keep asking and nobody wants to answer.

Becky Nace - The former council lady talked a great game about "just asking questions" but she didn't like answering any pointed questions sent her way. The biggest one now: What should Jackson County do with an empty Truman Sports Complex?!?! Seems like she owes an explanation since it's mostly her fault.

Preston Smith - Forgive us, we love Preston more than any local conservative and his data about crime, parking and stadiums should have been a problem to solve and not an issue to fear. His research remains correct . . . What we might consider is this: Is downtown going to be any safer abandoned by the Royals than with a stadium??? 

The only thing we know for certain here at www.TonysKansasCity.com is that a dive bar, tattoo shop and the empty old Star building don't exactly qualify as a "renaissance" when compared with the STAR BOND BONANZA promised in Kansas.
