AG Kobach Seyz Kansans Shouldn't Have To Pay For NYC Gender Studies Degrees

Just so www.TonysKansasCity.com readers won't miss it in a block of text . . . We wanted to highlight a statement that's probably the quote of the day from a local legal maverick pushing back against the White House.

The word . . .

"Blue collar Kansas workers who didn’t go to college shouldn’t have to pay off the student loans of New Yorkers with gender studies degrees,” Kobach said."

Here's more context . . .

Kansas stops Biden’s second student loan cancellation scheme

TOPEKA – (June 24, 2024) –Today, Kansas won a nationwide preliminary injunction stopping the latest version of President Biden’s student loan cancellation scheme. The order stops the Biden administration from cancelling student loans under its latest regulation, which was scheduled to take effect on July 1.

“Kansas’s victory today is a victory for the entire country. As the court correctly held, whether to forgive billions of dollars of student debt is a major question that only Congress can answer. Biden’s administration is attempting to usurp Congress’s authority. This is not only unconstitutional, it’s unfair. Blue collar Kansas workers who didn’t go to college shouldn’t have to pay off the student loans of New Yorkers with gender studies degrees,” Kobach said.

Judge Daniel Crabtree, a U.S. District Judge appointed by President Obama, issued the decision.
