Super Bowl Rally Ash Wednesday Curse Removed By EPIC Kansas City Communion?!?

Forgive our sin . . . As we border on being just a bit too bombastic on this blog . . . But part of our JOURNALISTIC mission of snark is to ask questions that our professional colleagues are too scared to offer publicly.

Also . . .

We get a bit of a pass for criticism of Holy Mother Church because of time served in parochial school.

And so . . .

Amongst a considerable number of good Catholics in Kansas City . . . There's a low-key belief that the Super Bowl rally was CURSED because it took place on a holy day -- Ash Wednesday.

The resulting mass shooting and deadly tragedy confirmed this belief for many.

However . . .

WE HOPE & PRAY THAT AN EPIC COMMUNION NEAR THE SAME SITE LIFTED THE ASH WEDNESDAY CURSE FOR KANSAS CITY'S FAITHFUL!!!

Interestingly . . .

KC Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker was a part of the prayerful gathering that most local media politely ignored.

Credit to Fox4 for at least giving a promo mention and even offering some context in their report.

Here's a passage that suits our purposes . . .

"They started planning this two years ago. It was the first big event in the same area since the Chiefs Victory Parade, where one person died, and several were shot and injured."

Via www.TonysKansasCity.com link . . . A quick look at the celebration of faith from a Catholic community newspaper:

The Leaven: What a beautiful evening at Behold KC with thousands of Catholics from around the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas and the Diocese of Kansas City - St. Joseph 🙏
