Lee's Summit police deserve respect for taking time out of their day in order to GENTLY remind online denizens that their fear is mostly unjustified and that, statistically, it's the people you already know that present the greatest danger/risk.

Ironically, as of this writing the LSPD website is down but THEIR socials remain solid. 

Here's the word . . .

"We have received several inquiries today asking if the story related in the picture below is true. We can tell you that it is unequivocally NOT true here in Lee Summit and  contrary to the general statements made in the posting we have NOT made calls to this location to test items for drug contamination."
