Summer fun warning and reminder that new mobile tech comes with more than a bit of risk:
According to KCPD, the rider of an electric bicycle crashed on the Rock Island Trail near the 9600 block of East 53rd Street — one block east of Raytown Road.
Officers said reports came through just after 7:45 a.m. after a man, who was out on a morning run, found the rider on the trail. According to KCPD, the exact time of the crash is unknown.
