Postscript: Pro-Palestine March On Plaza Attacks Israel Flag & Demands KCMO Funds

Downplayed by local media . . .

We notice that KCPBS "Senior Reporter" documented an Israeli flag on the Plaza targeted by some protesters.

Sure . . .

It's Sunday and TKC hopes for world peace as much as anyone else . . . This blog community is NOT indifferent to the tragic casualties of war that are typically confronted by women & children and so many other innocent civilians.

However . . .

There are a lot of locals who need help that we might want to think about before Kansas City, Missouri starts sending international relief.

In fairness, here is the argument to the contrary led by hundreds of local activists who gave the weekend dinner crowd a bit of a scare last night . . .

"Al-Hadaf KC, a local Palestinian-led organization, says that on Saturday, May 18, members met up with those from KC Tenants, JVP and Free Palestine KC to join around 570 individuals to march on Country Club Plaza in Kansas City.

"The organizations called for support of Palestinian rights, a ceasefire, self-determination and for the rescue of healthcare workers trapped in Gaza. The event follows weeks of effort to raise awareness and petition the City Council for support of the Palestinian American Medical Association - a local organization that offers emergency medical services in Gaza."
