We're in the midst of an important moment for Missouri . . .

As we've noted, the Missouri GOP has admitted that they'll lose if abortion rights makes it to the ballot. 

And so . . .

A constitutional crackdown against petition power is the only hope to prolong some of the most strident abortion limits in the nation. 

Overnight . . . A Kansas City political lady took an important stand that's critical to the conversation for both sides of the aisle . . .

“Since it is forever,” state Sen. Lauren Arthur, a Kansas City Democrat, said of the amendment. “This is worth fighting and trying to stop.”

Republicans show no signs of backing down on the ballot candy, raising the odds that the Senate will be unable to pass anything else before adjourning.
