Kansas City Union Station Turns Into Mouse House For Disney Propaganda Tour

For the record . . .

Walt Disney was a world-class union buster who seemingly hated the creative people who slaved away for him.

Also . . . There's a longstanding debate about his feelings about the Nazis.

And a lot of those old school cartoons don't hold up very well over time thanks to outright racism.

But . . .

Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah

This "historic" exhibit probably won't mention that as local families are quickly shuffled through on their way to buy more merch that'll probably end up in that clothes pile landfill you can see from space

Check the nicer side of the story . . .

"Walt created his first commercial film and met Kansas City-born artist and Disney Legend Ub Iwerks during his time in Kansas City. Together, their innovative spirits, boundary-breaking technology, and unparalleled storytelling would help set the creative standards for the company that would be founded by Walt and his brother Roy O. Disney in 1923. Kaye Malins from the Walt Disney Hometown Museum in Marceline was also in attendance at the event to share stories about Walt’s life in Marceline and Kansas City. Union Station is also thrilled to welcome back Bank of America as the Presenting Sponsor and is grateful for their community commitment and support in bringing these kinds of world-class experiences to Kansas City."
