Kansas City Public Schools Start Campaign For More Cash

If there is any justice . . . Voters will SMACK DOWN this effort given that it perpetuates a cycle of FAIL over the course of a generation and a school district that probably needs to be dissolved and not reinforced.

What's worth considering . . .

CAN ACTIVISTS & SOCIAL JUSTICE WARRIORS DEMAND LOCALS OPEN THEIR POCKETS FOR SKETCHY SCHOOL SCHEMES?!?!

Sure, they jumped on the bandwagon to chase the Royals & Chiefs out of town but campaigning in the affirmative is much tougher . . . Especially when locals are mostly hostile to school spending schemes that mostly fund shady contracts & politically connected builders . . . Not students.

The bigger questions . . .

WHY SHOULD VOTERS SUPPORT MORE SCHOOL CASH WHEN KCPS IS ALREADY RICH FRO PROPERTY TAXES?!?!

Of course w share a more optimistic perspective . . .

The district will host two workshops–one in English and one in Spanish, called “Building The Blueprint”–to share information about school facility needs and to gather feedback from staff, families, students, and community members.

KCPS is the only Missouri school district in the region without a voter approved General Obligation (GO) Bond to fund school facility improvements. The district’s last voter approved GO Bond was nearly 60 years ago in 1967.

The district deems this embarkment the most significant investment in Kansas City’s kids in 30 years. It will include a 10-Year Capital Funding Plan that will serve as the roadmap for prioritizing school facility needs over the next decade.
