Top 5 Ideas For Blighted Kansas City Star Building After Stadium Tax FAIL

One of our top ranking recent posts asked about the future of the Kansas City Star building in the aftermath of Stadium Tax FAIL.

SKEPTICS FEAR THE FORMER KANSAS CITY STAR PRINTING FACILITY WILL BLIGHT DOWNTOWN FOREVER!!!

Thankfully . . .

Our blog community and social media readers are much more optimistic.

Accordingly . . .

Here are the Top 5 suggestions for repurposing the structure that remains empty despite some very generous tax subsidies . . . In no particular order . . .

Let Meow Wolf Takeover The Facility - An "immersive art" experience could be the solution that might find support amongst Crossroads hipsters.

Turn dead-tree facilities into a BOTANICAL GARDEN . . . The glass would let in a lot of sunlight and might actually garner more than a few vistors.

A NEW DOWNTOWN CASINO . . . That would require permission from Missouri but it might be the only suggestion here in danger of making a profit.

A homeless shelter and/or affordable housing . . . A very kind suggestion that speaks to the good nature and naivete of so many voters who think that government housing projects solve problems instead of creating far more social ills

Our favorite suggestion: Sell it to a brewery. That would keep the manufacturing work, fit the industrial layout of the structure and (As Homer Simpson once said) remind us that booze is the cause of and solution to so many of life's problems.

Of course . . .

We look forward to even more productive suggestions from our www.TonysKansasCity.com blog community as the facility remains empty in the foreseeable future.
