TKC Exclusive: Recall Against Exec Frank White Earns New Interest

This morning we talked about an underground effort on the radio bujt we wanted to commit the story to a post in order to note that we're not just joking around about and ongoing story that might pose a serious challenge to a 12th & Oak leader.

Here's the word . . .

AFTER STADIUM TAX ELECTION FAIL, THERE'S NEW INTEREST IN AN ONGOING PETITION TO RECALL EXEC FRANK WHITE!!!

More deets . . .

- Nowadays petitions work by contract and the best firms have professional staffers who travel around the country in order to effectively manage and staff petition campaigns.

- Kansas City insiders point us to a couple of firms now engaging with local grassroots groups already undertaking this effort but yet to garner much momentum.

- The 50K threshold has been unattainable for local organizers but amid a great deal of frustration from courthouse leaders, biz interests & political opponents in the aftermath of Question 1 FAIL . . . We can't help but notice companies who offer professional petition drive services now poking around the courthouse.

More to the point . . .

Jackson County Executive Frank White scored an impressive victory this week but STILL has several opponents amongst tax fighters & neighborhood leaders . . . Those same people who helped deliver Eastern Jack to the fight against the Royals could now double cross the courthouse honcho in a new referendum.

Developing . . .
