San Antonio-Austin Actively Working To Steal Kansas City Chiefs

As time moves forward, locals are slowly coming to the realization that the future of professional football no longer permanently resides in Kansas City proper.

Behind the scenes, on the QT and very hush, hush . . .

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS NOW ENTERTAIN MORE SERIOUS OFFERS FROM CENTRAL TEXAS AND PROMISES OF TRIUMPHANT RETURN FOR HUNT FAMILY!!!

Locals might remember an offer from Dallas that was laughed off by most NFL fans given that the Cowboys will own football in that area until Kingdom come . . .

However . . .

Rising population numbers, economic data, more favorable tax rates and better access to international markets give reason to consider threats from central Texas seriously.

Moreover . . .

PROFITS FROM TEXAS FOOTBALL ECLIPSE ANYTHING KANSAS STAR BONDS COULD OFFER!!!

Because TKC gossips with Latinos across the nation . . . Here's a quick quote snippet from behind the scenes . . .

"The word out here is that Austin & San-Antonio are offering the Hunt family a hero's welcome and a homecoming for the ages. Bringing the team back to Texas would make them the most celebrated family in the Lone Star state for at least a decade. The numbers don't lie . . . Austin could lure a team on its own because of their recent economic boom and population explosion but cooperation with San Antonio makes the offer almost impossible to refuse when you talk about the future of the NFL."

Now, here's an ON RECORD glimpse at a connected politico talking up this move for the NFL that many see as inevitable . . .

Former San Antonio Mayor Henry Cisneros recently hinted at his proposal behind the scenes: "We are 5.2 million now between Austin and San Antonio. That is gonna be 8 million in 2050 . . . The NFL can’t stand by and watch a region of 8 million people begging for a team and not at least consider it."

As always, this LIVE, LATE-BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE hot talk from our www.TonysKansasCity.com blog community elicits doubts and even a bit of hateration.

Again, TKC has NEVER endorsed any tax and our main stance on all things is skepticism and snark.

Accordingly . . .

We'll answer a few of our critics who want to discount our KICK-ASS TKC BLOGGING . . .

The NFL would never allow this move!!!

WRONG. The Hunt Family served as the architect of the NFL and has more sway than most owners. The league is unlikely to stop them . . . In fact, objection to KCMO earnings tax might even encourage the Texas relocation.  The Texas Constitution forbids personal income taxes. And higher sales taxes don't produce as much complaints from the BILLIONAIRE set.

The Kansas City Chiefs won't abandon their history and brand!!!

ACTUALLY, the move would present a great opportunity to dump their problematic name and start fresh with bigger, better audience. UPDATE: The Houston Oilers (Turned Titans) departure for the Texans expansion team proves this theory in practice. Bright side: Chiefs fans will have a head start on valuable collectables.

This is just a threat, a bargaining tactic, the Chiefs really want to stay in Kansas City!!!

WHY??? When did a billionaire family become averse to making more money, building something geared toward the future for a fanbase that lives & breathes football in a more conservative political climate that's closer to their own???

TKC REALITY CHECK:

The front office for the Kansas City Chiefs have, in fact, told the public that they're going to "look at their options" and Central Texas now looms large in that perspective. Only activists and social media keyboard warriors claim, without proof, that the Chiefs will stay in Kansas City despite an embarrassing slap in the face from this community.

What is known for certain . . .

- Any deal to keep the Kansas City Chiefs must now be far more inviting and exorbitant than the terms rejected by voters who were emboldened by activists. It's reasonable to expect groups like leftist KC Tenants & other conservative metro tax fighter activists would also oppose such incentives.

- Recent reports confirm that the teams STILL aren't talking to Jackson County and any political compromise is doubtful under current leadership.

- Neither the Chiefs nor the Royals have expressed any future interest in collaboration with Jackson County.

From our perspective . . .

Kansas City voters remain in denial . . . The Chiefs & Royals are leaving city limits.

Time moves quickly and rising inflation, worsening crime and even the prospect of war put this priority on the back burner for most Kansas City voters as other towns are more dedicated to profiting from a fateful cowtown election decision.
