Salt Lake City Stealing Kansas City Royals?!?

Actually . . .

Jackson County gave the team away.

And so . . .

Insiders and sports fans are starting to make low-info voters aware that Salt Lake City is already working toward a "shovel ready site" for an MLB team.

In fact . . . They're way ahead of Nashville and seem the favorite for a new pro-baseball franchise.

Sadly . . .

SLC Royals has a ring to it.

Accordingly  . . .

Our www.TonysKansasCity.com offers a bit of cruel reality . . .

- SLC doesn't have Kansas City's crime problems.

- SLC is growing rapidly.

- SLC clearly is better organized and ALREADY working toward building a stadium.

- Real talk: SLC has more desirable "demographics" than Jackson County from a purely marketing perpsective.

- Activist protesters haven't take over SLC politics.

We don't make the rules here at TKC . . . We disagree with a few of these points. But it's our job to bring the bad news that our disconnected local media keep ignoring.

We'll cover this in another post but we always get this objection . . .

"A local ownership stake will keep the Kansas City Royals in the metro."

Maybe.

However . . .  Let's not overlook.

MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL IS A BUSINESS & LOCAL SHAREHOLDERS BOUGHT IN TO MAKE MONEY AND NOT FOR CHARITY!!!

 In fact . . .

Making money might even be more important than nice seats to a few playoff games for people trying to protect generational wealth.

And so . . .

Kansas City & Jackson County must now contemplate life with out Major League Baseball and hope that our progressive activist friends enjoy watching women's soccer a few times a year as a very, very tragic substitute.

Developing . . .
