Missouri GOP Targets Kansas City Funds After Migrant Invite

To start Friday we share Jeff City follow-up and a signal that Show-Me State Republicans aren't content to allow Mayor Q to score a political victory in support of Prez Biden immigration policy.

MISSOURI BUDGET CRACKDOWN ON "SANCTUARY CITY" MOVES THREATENS MILLIONS WORTH OF FUNDING FOR KANSAS CITY!!!

Local news and Democratic Party leaders are downplaying this threat but insiders tell us that there's more than just political flexing involved in this budget debate . . . Here's the word: 

"With just a few lines, Missouri budget rules can wipe out MILLIONS of dollars. It's nothing to play around with . . . What we're seeing here is REPUBLICANS LAYING THE GROUNDWORK AGAINST KANSAS CITY AND ANY SUPPORT OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. It's more than just rhetoric, they're using the power of purse strings to enforce their policy agenda. I'd advise Mayor Lucas and Council to take the threats seriously."

"A Missouri Senate committee is targeting Kansas City over Mayor Quinton Lucas’s invitation to immigrants to move there and find work. As the Senate Appropriations Committee was finishing up its work on the state budget Wednesday, it added language that would strip state funding away from any city or town in Missouri that declares itself a sanctuary city for illegal immigrants."
