Mission Gateway FAIL Finally Shut Down Wendy's Next Door

The "news" of a Wendy's shut down shouldn't merit much attention but the conversation on social media was strangely respectful.

More to the point . . .

Nobody really understands how the Wendy's next door to Mission Gateway FAIL lasted for so long.

The place has endured years of doing biz next to the blighted empty lot but still managed to cling to biz.

The "baconator" really isn't that good and kinda sounds like a lower GI-tract problem to anybody over 40. 

Nevertheless . . . 

We mark the passing for this place as the fortunes of Eastern Johnson County continue to fade amid sketchy leadership, new guests and developer schemes melting like a frosty on a warm Spring day.

"Wendy’s permanently closed its Mission franchise earlier this month, with signage already gone from the building on Roeland Drive, just off Johnson Drive.

"Officials with the company confirmed the closure but gave no further information on the reasoning behind it."
