After stadium tax election FAIL, Mayor Q was quick to take center stage and offer reassurance about keeping the teams without any specifics.

Let's look at KCMO-ONLY . . . Options for funding the stadium

- There was talk that Port KC was going to take on the funding. But their budget is TOO SMALL to take on a couple of BILLION bucks.

- Other insiders hoped that the ideas of another bond issue which is really just code for a property tax increase . . . GO Bonds offer the cash necessary. Sadly, stadiums don't make the cut for that kind spending which is intended for infrastructure.

- Former columnist Dave Helling put forward the idea of a sales tax increase . . . But that requires buy in from Missouri and at this point in his tenure Mayor Q isn't getting another DIME from this GOP-controlled enclave.
