Mayor Q Pushes 'Local Control' After Kansas City Police Board Prez Resigns

The local leader stepping down isn't such a big deal and was expected . . .

What's important for our www.TonysKansasCity.com blog community to note is that the Mayor is continuing his crusade against Missouri governance and delves into a longstanding & unproductive partisan circular argument as local violent crime begins its Spring/Summer spike.

Here's a quote from his latest X/Tweet . . .

"Kansas City Board of Police Commissioners President Cathy Dean has resigned at the conclusion of her four year term. I wish her well.

"Commissioner Dawn Cramer has assumed the Board presidency.  As a reminder, 4 commissioners are appointed by the governor. The mayor is the 5th.

"I am a believer in local control of our  police and will continue to support efforts to get it.

"In the meantime, I will work with the governor’s office to support appointment of a new commissioner who will collaborate with our community to help us build a safer city."
