Kansas City 'Zero Fare' Has Only One Year Until TOTAL FAIL

Today cowtown news readers learn that there's no future for free rides in Kansas City.

And so we check the aftermath of bad municipal policy that sparked complaints from riders & drivers about public safety . . .

What was really unfortunate is that progressive activists ignored complaints from the community and pursued FREE RIDE FAIL when even the most loyal bus riders claimed that "ZERO FARE" made life harder for people who rely on public transit . . . From worsening violence to the stench: The plan seemed doomed from the start. 

Now here's a realization about INEVITABLE cutbacks . . . Check-it:

Free bus and paratransit rides will continue in Kansas City for another year at least under terms of the new annual contract with the regional transportation authority that the City Council approved on Thursday.

What form the city’s zero fare program on the RideKC system takes after that remains uncertain, however.
