Kansas City School Lockdown Lifted After Police Respond To Double Gunfire Nearby

Aftermath report of a morning scare following reports of shots fired . . .

Two shooting victims were found outside a residence in the 300 block of Wabash Avenue this morning just to the north of Garfield Elementary School.

According to a source at the scene, teachers at the school locked the school down initially. Once KCPD Security and KCPD  officers arrived on the scene it was determined that the threat was not eminent any longer and the lockdown was lifted.
